Exciting news about the Costalegre Airport... on Jalisco's south coast
The Costalegre Airport is becoming a reality! We have been following this closely for the last few years and it is for real. When we first discovered this area, we knew it was one of the last remaining areas on the Pacific Coast of Mexico that was undeveloped. What this means for the state of Jalisco is enormous in terms of future tourist business. Some of the best beaches have been just waiting to be discovered. We are fortunate to have found our place at Chachalaka. Our plan seems to fit within the grand plans for highend - low density development. This LINK is a good piece on what is happening.
Mayto beach is one of the beaches of the Costalegre in the state of Jalisco. One of the last undeveloped beach areas on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It is hard to imagine, a beach without people. We were surprised when we first discovered it and the land nearby, we call Chachalaka.
Too much fun! on miles of beach
Welcome to our blog
This area 50 miles southwest of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast of Mexico is simply amazing. It is being discovered and now is the time to see it. Starting at El Tuito the drive through the mountains is refreshing on the way to the Mayto area and the coast. The nearby fishing village of Tehuamixtle is a must visit and just a short ten minute drive further south. From there heading south you can find endless beaches.
What is Chachalaka?
After a few years it is time to talk about this special place we call Chachalaka. We have created a unique place in paradise to share with a fortunate few. Clicking photo will take you to photos and information.
